1. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
Outside of winning numerous Game of the Year Awards and achieving near perfection in all of its aspects, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End sated the appetite of fans, newcomers, and even some critics on its way to success. Featuring a powerful narrative, gorgeous visuals, tight gunplay, and the best platforming mechanics of the series and, perhaps, the genre, Uncharted 4 soared above this year’s competition. Whether you prefer games like Overwatch, Titanfall 2, or Final Fantasy (for example), it’s hard to argue that any other title this year was outfitted with as immaculate and complete a package as Uncharted 4. In addition, Uncharted 4 finally received the multiplayer aspect it deserved – one that worked well and had few balancing issues – that lengthened its value and longevity. It’s hard to dislike the charm of Drake, his friends, and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
