According to the game’s lead writerTitanfall 2 will include a single-player campaign.

Lead writer, Jesse Stern, says that the sequel title will include “a lot of [scenes] where science meets magic,” while maintaining a “grounded, dirty, and human world”.

The report also states that the team at Respawn Entertainment have been working on the game since 2014 following the completion of work on the original title and that the game’s follow-up is expected to launch before March 2017. Stern’s previous work includes both the first and second Modern Warfare titles for Infinity Ward, in addition to a stint working on the CBS crime drama, NCIS.

As well as a single-player campaign, Stern is also said to be looking into the possibility of a TV series related to the world of Titanfall which could potentially premiere around the same time as the game, although nothing is official at this point.

The original Titanfall launched to some stellar reviews exclusively on console for Xbox, but the next title in the series has been confirmed as a multi-platform release.
