The biggest PC game shop lists the top selling 100 games of 2016…

Ubiquitous PC game storefront Steam has published their top 100 games of 2016. The list is based on each game’s total gross revenue for the 2016 calendar year. The list is not strictly ordered but instead split into four sections: Platinum (top 12), Gold(13-24), Silver (24-40) and Bronze (bottom 60).

The Platinum games include new games like Dark Souls 3, CIV VI, Tom Clancy’s The Division, and XCOM 2 but also older titles like GTA V, Fallout 4, and The Witcher III: Wild Hunt. Free to play games like DotA 2 and Counter Strike: Global Offensive also apparently made a lot of money last year. One notable exclusion from the platinum list is DOOM which apparently only sold enough to make gold.
