Following last month’s big reveal, Pokémon has released a second trailer with information about Pokémon Sun and Moon, slated for release this Winter worldwide.

The Sun Legendary was revealed to be Solgaleo, the Sunne Pokémon, whose typing is Psychic/Steel. It comes with the new Ability Full Metal Body, where a Pokémon’s stats will not be lowered by the effects of an opponent’s moves or Ability. Its signature move is Sunsteel Strike, which fires the user at the target like a meteor, disregarding its Ability.

The Moon Legendary was revealed to be Lunala, the Moone Pokémon, whose typing is Psychic/Ghost. It comes with the new Ability Shadow Shield, where a Pokémon will take less damage from an attack that lands when the Pokémon has full HP. Its signature move is Moongeist Beam, where the user releases an ominous beam of light that disregards the target’s Ability.

New and previously seen characters such as Professor Kukui, the Alola region’s dependable Pokémon professor (seen discussing the Alola region’s many islands); Lillie, Professor Kukui’s mysterious assistant; and Hau, your new friend in Alola, were shown off in gameplay footage.

A special Pokédex known as the Rotom Pokédex, which the player receives from Professor Kukui, was also announced, inhabited by Rotom, a Pokémon first discovered in the Sinnoh Region with the power to reside in various electronic appliances. The Rotom Pokédex is an extremely rare device. There are only a few Trainers that have one, even in the Alola region.
