Dark Souls Lite
Dark Souls 3 publisher, Bandai Namco, has partnered with Gamestop for the surprise release of Slashy Souls for mobile platforms. The game takes inspiration from Namco’s ridiculously frustrating Souls’ games. The game is set for release tomorrow, February 28th, for iOS and Android devices.
Bandai Namco was quick to point out that while Slashy Souls is in no way directly connected to the Souls’ games. Rather, it is inspired by Dark Souls and focuses on challenge and similar gameplay. Slashy Souls is not created by Dark Souls creator, FromSoftware.
Slashy Souls is a reimagining of Dark Souls gameplay through the spectrum of a 16 bit graphics and the endless runner genre. The gameplay may be different than what fans’ expect, but it will contain spells, bosses, and weapons that will be familiar to Dark Souls players.
