New Operators, Gear, and More

Ubisoft has released a trailer showing off all the new features, weapons, and more for its upcoming DLC, Dust Line. Set in the Middle East, the DLC builds upon the fast paced action of the Rainbow Six: Siege.

The DLC introduces two new Navy SEAL operators. Blackbeard carries a rifle shield, which covers the top of rifle and the shooter’s face. Basically a tiny riot shield attached to the top of your rifle. Valkryie carries a black eye camera that shocks opponents when detonated. There is a new border map, as well as new charms and headgear.

Further details for the DLC are detailed below:

Loadout Customisation between rounds: “Players can now customise their Operator’s loadout between each round, by simply selecting an operator and going to their loadout to select a weapon, attachments and headgear. This will allow for additional tactical choices between rounds.”

Operator reworks: “I.Q.’s unique gadget now has enhanced visual feedback, Montagne’s shield now adds side protection, and Tachanka’s LMG is now easier to place and use. Additional Operator, weapon and secondary gadget tweaks have also been made.”

Introduction of gadget placement cancellation controls: “By turning this feature ON in the Options menu, players can now cancel the placement of a gadget at any time. This feature will not only allow players to be more reactive, but will also allow for another layer of gameplay and tactics.”

Winning Team Showcase: “After the final round, the winning team’s Operators will be displayed to both the winning and losing teams, and an MVP for the match will be crowned for the ultimate bragging rights.”

Bitcultures contributor, Peter, wrote, “If you’re into hyper-competitive tactical PvP, this is the game for you. Rainbow Six Siege provides a very specific kind of FPS experience, but for the right kind of gamer, it’s an experience well-worth the discounted sale price.” Although he noted, that if you’re a fan of single player experiences, you should avoid at all costs. He ultimately scored it a 78 percent.

The DLC content will be available to Season Pass owners on May 11th. Non season pass owners will have to unlock it with Renown currency or R6 credits on May 18th.
