Night in the Woods, the Kickstarter-funded, adorable-animal-populated adventure game from developer Infinite Fall, has garnered a lot of hype and excitement since its announcement in 2013, aided by its unique narrative and art styles and heavy exploration-based gameplay. Unfortunately, fans are going to have to wait just a bit longer to get their hands on the game, as its release has been pushed back to February 21, 2017. In a backers-only update, as reported by Polygon, Infinite Fall confirmed that the delay is due to an extended period of testing and additional touch-ups the developers wanted to give to the game, as well as previously mentioned difficulties in launching a game on multiple platforms for a smaller, independent studio.
Night in the Woods now drops on February 21, 2017.
