FelipeMGM over on Neogaf has brought to light plans for a new Bandai Namco IP reveal. The company, whose output includes the highly successful Souls series, are to unveil the project at Gamescom 2016.

The news was announced in a surprisingly small and matter-of-fact bookend to a Gamespress email, possibly suggesting that the release won’t be quite as monumental as some may hope. It also seems unlikely that this will have anything at all to do with the Souls series, as creator Hidetaka Miyazaki has himself stated that he “[didn’t] think it’d be the right choice to continue indefinitely creating Souls and Bloodborne games” and that he considered Dark Souls 3 to be “the big closure on the series.”

Gamescom 2016 is also set to feature closer looks at Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and Tekken 7, both of which will be available for hands-on testing at the event.
