The Drake-less Uncharted will be out this August.

The stand-alone DLC for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Uncharted: Lost Legacy, will be released August 22, 2017. Uncharted 4 recieved practically universal critical acclaim so a follow up is not terribly surprising. The release date announcement comes alongside a new cinematic trailer for the add-on, check it out below:

Like the earlier reveal trailer the new video focuses on cutscenes and not gameplay which is a bit disappointing. On the other hand, like most Naughty Dog cutscenes, the scene is so well produced that it is difficult to complain too much. Another nice touch, besides the production value, is the relationship that the trailer shows off. Lost Legacy ignores the Uncharted series star, Nathan Drake in favor of former bit players, Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross. A scene showing two women working and talking together like grownups is so rare in games and game’s marketing that it deserves notice and applause which shows how far the industry has to go in a lot of ways.
Uncharted: Lost Legacy will be free for those who purchased the Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Deluxe Edition and will cost $40 for everyone else. Additionally, the Naughty Dog classic Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy will be a pre-order reward at some retailers.
