Polish Gaming Site Claims June 7th As Release Date
Notable Polish gaming site, GRYOnline, reports June 7th as the release date for the second Witcher 3 DLC, Blood and Wine. This matches earlier reports from developer CD Projeckt Red that the game would be released in the first half of 2016. June 7th is also a Tuesday, which matches the weekday that Witcher 3 and Hearts of Stone were released.
Blood and Wine is supposed to have over 20 hours of new content, including new enemies, characters, and Gwent cards. From screenshots, we know Blood and Wine will take place in Touissant. Touissant is a sunny Southern region that is peaceful and untouched by the war, but hides sinister secrets. Blood and Wine should be an improvement on Witcher 3 and Hearts of Stone because of all the player feedback the developers have received. Blood and Wine also promises to be the conclusion to Geralt of Rivia’s story.
If you haven’t played Witcher 3 or its DLC Hearts of Stone, then you should absolutely purchase them. Witcher 3 armed Game of the Year honors and earned a 94 percent in our review. The first DLC, Hearts of Stone, scored even higher and earned a 98 percent.
