1. Siren: Blood Curse – Saiga Hospital
As a child, nearly anything can be scary; shadows, trees, clowns. Being a child also means being defenseless as we hide from our perceived nightmares. PS3 exclusive, Siren: Blood Curse, pushed this to the max as players were forced to navigate through a zombie-filled (kinda) hospital in the tiny footsteps of a little girl. They had nothing but the ability to see where the enemies were making the tension that much stronger. What made this scary wasn’t just the lack of offense on the side of the player. It was also the waiting. It was being trapped in rooms with the sort-of-undead as they combed through every square inch ready to drag little Bella out of a wardrobe and into our worst nightmares.
