5. Spider-man (PS4)

This is probably the reason I’m going to buy a PS4. I know, I know; Horizon Zero Dawn, The Last of Us Part II, God of War 4, yadda yadda yadda. I can deal without all of those, but I can’t deal without what could possibly be the best Spider-man game since Spider-man 2 (or, maybe even, the original PS1 classic?). If Insomniac Games can pull it off, this could be one of the must-own exclusives for the PS4. We haven’t seen much of the new Spidey game, but Insomniac reassures that everything we have seen is all in-game. The Spider-man in the trailer looks very agile, and the web-slinging is very fast and fluid, so it’s possible that this unique iteration of Marvel’s biggest hero could very well live up to its massive expectation.

4. Mass Effect Andromeda

It has been 4 years since Shepard’s trilogy has ended for fans; time for a new story. A new story with an open and expanded world. Fans of Mass Effect already have adoration for the futuristic space adventure that these games provide. Not even touching on the in-depth characters and character relationships that Bioware has been able to provide across multiple titles. Eager anticipation leaves us guessing and wondering what we will see, what new aliens will we meet and what old favorites will return? With so much to discovery, fans are waiting to fall in love all over again with the Mass Effect series. And for those eager enough they can look into the Andromeda Initiative to get even more details on this awaited title.

3. Persona 5

This game has kept fans in waiting since 2014; Back when it was still going to be on the PS3. Even back when the Persona 5 had no details to it but the name alone. The wait has not deterred the fans of the series from clamoring for the next installment to the Persona series. Satiated with spin-off and remakes of the already established games and characters. But even those will get old after a time. We’re ready for a brand new adventure with new characters and new premise, but still with the battle system and bases of Persona lore that we’ve come to love. As the details continue to emerging from it only makes us want it more, from the characters, gameplay, and style. These Phantom thieves have already stolen our hearts in anticipation.

2. Horizon Zero Dawn

This title had many in awe for the moment it was introduced during the 2015 E3. The beauty of the graphics coupled with the intrigue of post-apocalypse world with robotic creatures. The blend of futuristic and primitive technology. The game has yet to release but has already won Best Original Title for 2 years. Then we have our lead protagonist, Aloy, is already shaping to be a badass female character. With her we’ll be exploring the open world Horizon Zero Dawn has to offer while we dive deeper into the game’s narrative. Even with it releasing it Febuary it still feels like too long of a wait to get our hands on this title.
