New Maps, Weapons, and Heroes

EA and DICE have released information about Outer Rim, Star Wars: Battlefront‘s first paid DLC.  The first details were released yesterday for the DLC that’s available in March for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

The players return to the planets Sullust and Tatooine.  Sullust looks like more of what we’ve already seen, but Tatooine is more intriguing.  It promises an exploration of Jabba the Hut’s palace.

“Blast enemies in the smelting factory or along the industrial pipes and platforms of Sullust or fight through Jabba’s throne room and sail barge garage on Tatooine,” the page for Outer Rim states.

Two new heroes are added to the DLC.  You can decide who shot first as Greedo for the Imperial side, while the Rebel’s gain sharpshooter Nien Numb.  There’s also a new mode called, Extraction, which is detailed below.
“Rebel forces have entered some of the most dangerous places in the Outer Rim in order to extract a valuable shipment of resources. Now they must bring the shipment to their transport ship before time runs out. The Empire has arrived to stop them from reaching the extraction point.”
The upcoming DLC costs 15 dollars, or you can purchase the season pass for 50 dollars, which grants you access to all future DLC.
