[STRIKE THE EARTH INTENSIFIES]

Steel thy shovels, folks: Shovel Knight is coming to the Nintendo Switch.

Yacht Club Games confirmed on their website that their popular retro platformer will be ported to Nintendo’s newest console later on this year. On top of that, the game’s Body Swap Mode (which switches around the characters’ genders) will be coming to the main Shovel Knight campaign, along with two-player co-op mode on all platforms (except for 3DS and Vita). Yacht Club also announced Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove, an update to and compilation of the original game and its DLC campaigns (Plague of Shadows and the upcoming Specter of Torment), with the original title being renamed Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope to match the others’ naming schemes. All current Shovel Knight owners will get this and future updates free, while new players will have the option to either buy the mega-pack or buy each game as a standalone purchase.

More details on the update, Treasure Trove, and the future of Shovel Knight can be found at Yacht Club Games.
