Pokémon Go’s initial holiday update, which lasted from Dec. 25 to Dec. 30, introduced Special, Great, and Ultra boxes featuring items from incubators to Ultra Balls.

As of the afternoon of Dec 30, Pokémon Go is now in the second phase of it’s holiday update and will be through the afternoon of Jan. 3. Players can obtain Bronze, Silver, and Gold boxes which contain items such as incense, lures, lucky eggs, Poké balls, and Great Balls.

Through Jan. 8, players will also have a higher than normal chance to catch the original starter Pokémon (Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Charmander) and their evolutions. Lure modules will last for 60 minutes instead of 30 in order to further increase the chances of finding this normally rare Pokémon.
