The highly-anticipated ranked multiplayer mode for Blizzard’s Overwatch, dubbed “Competitive Play,” goes live today on PC, according to a battle.net post.

The post originally stated “[t]he patch will be going live on PC today, while PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players can expect it sometime next week.” Looks like One owners lucked out, however, as a post over on battle.net’s Xbox One forum states that the update goes live for the One today as well.

The season system is also getting off to an awkward start, as the Summer 2016 Season technically started in June. As a result, the initial season of Competitive Play will be shorter than others. Taking into account the standard two-week break in between seasons, the Summer 2016 season will only last 1.5 weeks, rather than the usual 2.5 which will resume in the Fall.
