A small price to pay
Hope you weren’t planning on saving money anytime soon.According to DualShockers, Nintendo has just added titles to its Nintendo Selects line of discounted games, giving number of popular titles for the Wii U and 3DS consoles a massive price cut at$19.99. These games include The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, among others. Nintendo is also offering bundles of select Mario games for the Wii U that include their line of Amiibo figurines for about $39.99 each and a New Nintendo 3DS Bundle (that’s New with a capital N, for the record) with Super Mario 3D Land pre-installed for $149.99.Considering a new copy of any of these games can run from $25-$50 on Amazon (and that the N3DS retails at $200 at retail) these are some pretty solid deals. Still, something tells me that this whole thing is a way for Nintendo to get as much cash milked as possible from their current crop of consoles before the Nintendo NX takes center stage. It’s a pretty sound strategy if that’s the case-and if it’s not, hey, cheaper games are always good!
The discounted games and consoles go on sale on August 26, 2016.
