Bethesda invites players to “take a tour of hell” and experience Doom through the lens of virtual reality. Details on this, such as release dates and platforms, have yet to be stated but Bethesda is more concrete with its plans for Fallout 4–concrete by E3 standards at least.

Fallout 4 will be released on the HTC Vive in 2017, currently the most expensive VR equipment on the market (at $800) but perhaps the most viable option.

It will be interesting to see if these immensely popular triple A titles will be what persuades gamers to invest in virtual reality.
